“Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.”
I’m not sure who said this first, but I’m so happy they did. This quote challenges me daily to keep a positive outlook from moment to moment.
It’s easier to live in fear of a poor outcome; to expect something bad to happen so when it does you don’t feel foolish. Negative thinking is a way to feel like you’ve out smarted fate. “I knew that was going to happen!” “I’m just being realistic.” “I have to be adult about this and weigh all the outcomes.” Boo! I’ve had these conversations with myself countless times.
While I’m a fan of having a clear goal in mind and focusing my energy towards that goal, I absolutely disagree with the idea that you have to focus on negative outcomes. Negativity is placing a bet against yourself. You’re writing a narrative that does not have to exist, all in the name of self-preservation. Fear tells you that when you reach for your goal and fail, you will not be able to withstand the pain.
THAT IS A LIE!
You are stronger than you could ever dream. So stop betting against yourself!
Here’s a little something I recorded to get you motivated to take that leap of faith. Believe with me that something wonderful is about to happen.
